W elcome to Riverside Writers! The mission of this organization, an established non-profit entity, is to celebrate the art and craft of writing by offering writers opportunities for personal and professional interaction with other writers; strengthening skills in the art, craft and business of writing; and advocating the literary arts in the broader local community.
The club offers workshops, panel discussions, camaraderie and expert speakers. Meetings occur at the Salem Church Library branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library system. We meet from 1 pm to 3 pm on the second Saturday of each month. Participation is also available online via Webex.
Riverside Writers was formed in Spotsylvania, Virginia, and became a chapter of the Virginia Writers Club (VWC), the statewide parent organization established in 1918. Riverside Writers is one of ten chapters of the VWC, and geographically encompasses the City of Fredericksburg, the counties of Caroline, King George, Louisa, Spotsylvania, and Stafford, and portions of the adjacent areas.
