Become a saint: join the Redemptorists

The Redemptorists are a missionary community of vowed Catholic men who follow Jesus Christ by preaching the Good News of God’s reign to the most abandoned, especially the poor. Begun in the Kingdom of Naples by St. Alphonsus Liguori, C.Ss.R. in 1732, the Redemptorists now number approximately 5,000 men and serve in over 80 countries.

Since 1832, the Redemptorists have ministered in North America as brothers and priests. They are preachers, pastors, writers, retreat masters, spiritual directors, companions in faith, and advocates for the needy, particularly among immigrant communities. They have promoted devotion to Mary as “Our Mother of Perpetual Help” since 1865, when the pope entrusted the Redemptorists with her miraculous icon and commissioned them to make her known.
