The Red Bluff Bull Sale humbly began in 1941 when a small group of local ranchers and a local farm advisor decided to start a Hereford show and sale in Red Bluff. What developed out of that Hereford show 80 years later is considered the greatest stock show and sale west of the Rockies. In addition to the Bull Sale the late 1970’s brought exciting changes when the sale of ranch geldings was added to the agenda, as well as a select sale of the top working stock dogs in the industry. These additions were held to the same strict standard of quality and excellence that the committee unwaveringly adhered to with the bulls that they sold.
