A multilevel marketing company is simply a business in which the sales force is compensated not only for their own sales, but also for the sales of the people they have recruited into the business. This creates a “downline” of distributors below them, who also earn money based on their own sales and the sales of their downline.
In an MLM, the company sells its products through a network of independent distributors. The company may provide training and support to help their distributors succeed. Distributors can earn commissions on the sales of the products they sell, as well as additional income from the sales of other distributors in their “downline” – people who were recruited by them or other members of their team.
