Priya Mukherjee is an assistant professor at the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison , and is a research fellow at IZA-Institute of Labor Economics , and an affiliate at the Center for South Asia . Born in Wellington (Tamil Nadu) and raised in New Delhi, India, she earned a B.A. (honors) in mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University (India), an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics (London, UK), and a Ph.D. in economics from Co
Her research has been published in journals including The Review of Economics and Statistics, Econometrica, and the Journal of Development Economics.
In addition to her research, Mukherjee is passionate about issues of inclusion and diversity in the economics profession. She co-founded the Association for Mentoring and Inclusion in Economics (AMIE) in 2020, with Professor Nishith Prakash .
