The Colgate-Palmolive Company has generously provided funding for early stage students from underrepresented minority groups (URMs) to conduct a 10-week summer research project focused on pigment cell biology. With utmost sorrow, I share with friends and colleagues in PASPCR the sad news about the passing away of James J. Nordlund, MD. Jim was one of the founders of PASPCR, and the first President of our society. He played a pivotal role in the formation of the IFPCS and was a recognized expert in pigmentary disorders.
