Welcome to the Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral in Ottawa. This community is the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Canada of the Orthodox Church in America and is currently administered by His Eminence Irénée, Archbishop of Ottawa .
On the surface Orthodoxy can easily appear mysterious and Eastern but in fact, it is the universal Christian faith, which reached the North American continent in the 18th century. North America has saints of its own, and the icons of St. Herman of Alaska , St. Tikhon of Moscow , St. Innocent of Alaska , St. Raphael and St. Alexis Toth , can be found in the Cathedral.
