Over the last year the nation has seen a dramatic spike in hate crimes and hate-motivated incidents targeting members of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. This sad trend is reflected in the data coming in through Oregon’s new state bias crime hotline. The state hotline has, to date, received 119 reports of anti-AAPI bias crimes and incidents.
