The below chart shows the methodology and rationale we suggest for making internal distinctions in the traditional NT Canon. This approach makes a distinction between Foundational, Peripheral, Supplemental, and Apocryphal Authorities. Tier 1 constitutes 51% of the Greek words in the New Testament, and Tier 2 is 49%.
