We are delighted to announce the first in-person Northern ON Touring Conference will occur this May at PlaySmelter Festival in Sudbury, ON May 12-14, 2023. This follows and builds upon our successful conference and conversations held virtually in 2021 and 2022.
Now it’s time to gather in-person aa we believe there is space in Northern Ontario for a vibrant performing arts culture transcending municipal borders, uniquely adapting itself to our expansive and isolated geography and demography.
We want to gather to highlight and discuss what is needed to not only prop up current working artists, encouraging growth and connection, asking how best to invest in Northern Ontarian youth and the future of our industry. We ask – Why should our youth have to make the choice between home and success?
