Vision: NESCO cultivates an active presence in the community resulting in organized neighborhood associations, increased block clubs, and stronger advocacy.
Residents of the Near Eastside of Indianapolis, now served by the Near Eastside Community Organization (NESCO), have a long history of gathering together for a common purpose. Beginning early in the 20th century and continuing to this day, perceived threats to their way of life have compelled Near Eastside citizens to come together to save their neighborhood.
