Ben Miller is a writer known largely as an essayist.  H e has published in many literary journals and his essays have been reprinted or noted six times in Best American Essays.   The memoir that I am going to discuss here is a verbal tour de force. It is tragic, it is comic, it is unforgettable. I cannot get it out of my mind. That is why, after writing nothing for several months,  I am now writing about it.
