Music by Murray James
Murray is a singer/songwriter who has been performing in a number of bands and as a solo artist for the last 17 years. He has just returned from the UK, where he spent 2019 teaching music and performing with the release of his debut album, ‘Lonely Astronaut’. The album is a musical melting pot combining his inspirations, thoughts, emotions and stories from throughout his life.
He has a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education and has been working as a high school music teacher by day and gigging by night. Drawing from his time studying the classical guitar at university, Murray combines classical fingerpicking with contemporary techniques to create intricate guitar parts to accompany his warm and unique voice.
