I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy reflecting on what I/we read over the year.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien – I was never much one for fantasy as a child, so never got through this despite it being on my shelf since I was about 8 years old. But I boldly chose it as a pick for a book club I was a part of, thinking that, perhaps, reading it with others and discussing it might find me enjoying it more. I’m happy to report, it did the trick. It really is the best way to read good literature. 🙂
The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff – Well-told tale of the women who secretly fought the war behind the scenes, dangerously passing messages. Yet, the same group that used them, then had to make them disappear from history.
