Dani Yogatama

I am a co-founder of Reka. Prior to that, I was a Research Scientist at FAIR (Meta AI). I did my PhD at the University of the Basque Country, where I was advised by Eneko Agirre and Gorka Labaka at the IXA Group. I also interned once at DeepMind and FAIR, twice at Google, and collaborated with Apertium as part of Google Summer of Code.
My general research area is in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. My background is mostly on multilinguality, focusing on low-resource scenarios and, in particular, unsupervised machine translation and cross-lingual representation learning. More recently, I have also been working on natural language generation, few-shot learning and large-scale language models.
