Thingadailies 2024
Last night Veronica had her first performance of the Christmas season. The Talented and Gifted Music program held their Winter Concert. I'm glad it was early to get it out of the way. In previous years, it's been very last minute. We still have her regular choir concert in a couple of weeks, and I have mine also. (yes, I joined the community choir!)
Today is the local Christmas parade, which Veronica was supposed to be walking in with the band. It would have been her first parade, but alas it is raining. The parade is still rolling, but the marching bands have all cancelled. We aren't complaining!
Valerie also marched in her first parade today as a college band student. Christmas is a really big deal up in Natchitoches, LA. She wasn't sure what to expect from the parade, but she texted me and said from beginning to end it took less than 90 minutes. It was "nothing" she said. She's so used to marching in long Mardi Gras parades that last hours and hours! She did get her picture taken in her marching uniform but wasn't sure when she will get them.
