I do fine art paintings, sculptures, illustrations for shirts and other products, and coloring books. While the mediums are different, they share a common theme of animals with personality. When we look at animals we often assign to them a personality. May be a dog is happy and positive, a cat reserved, or an owl is wise. I hope to create pieces with personality to reach the viewer and assign an emotion to each piece.
Megan Hughes is an artist from the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota. She also lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she received her B.F.A. in Studio Art . She has always enjoyed creating animal art and enjoys exploring themes of identity, personality, and self worth through animal symbolism.
