Description: IWA Manchester Branch has hugely historic and exciting waterways, ranging from the massive Manchester Ship Canal to the steeply climbing Huddersfield Narrow Canal - with the highest and longest canal tunnel in Britain at its summit. The area has seen many successful restorations and has several in-hand. Our main activities are a winter programme of monthly talks and monthly work parties enhancing our branch’s canals.
