I have been working in the field of mental health for 25 years and over those years I have lost count of the amount of times I have heard a client say “well that makes sense”. This usually comes after I have explained how the anxiety they are feeling can be overcome, or have demystified the depression they’re experiencing. Once there is an understanding of how the neurobiology interacts with psychological and social experiences of an individual it does indeed, make sense.
My aim in providing a confidential counselling service is to enable you to be the agent of your own change, it is after all, your life and therapy means very little if you stop feeling the benefit the second the therapy door has closed.
