It is generally accepted by the Lokoya that they originated from East Africa. In the thirteen villages of their territory are found the clans of Ohoyo, Ohawore, Ohulla, Olodere, Olihino, Opeleri, Omoholon, Itanda, Thanufere, Isoru, Olala, Omurai, Omodoro, Lokokiri and Omoli.
