LVP ($-$$) : This floor is great for people who have kids and animals who like to leave messes. It is the most inexpensive option of the 3 and it is 100% waterproof . To give you an idea, this is basically a plastic floor that has a picture printed on the face and texture added to make it appear like wood. The LVP we sell has an underlayment attached to make it softer to walk on and to get rid of the “clicking” sounds you would get without it. Engineered ($$-$$$ ): This option is a little more expensive in general compared to the LVP. Engineered flooring is a thin layer of real wood that is glued to a backing (think of this like a plywood) to reduce the cost while looking exactly like a real wood floor. Installation is a breeze since the product comes already stained and finished getting you back to a normal household fast without the smell of the stain and finish. This is also a good product for DIYers. Life expectancy of floor: 10-15 years.
