Hey there! My name is Steve. These days, I'm a staff software engineer living in Ann Arbor, Michigan with my wonderful fiancée Alaina . I currently work at Color Health , helping to bring equitable healthcare and cancer screenings to everyone. My focus is on developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes.
Before that, I was the first principal engineer at Rocket Mortgage , where I worked from 2012—2022. I worked on developer tooling and cloud infrastructure here as well, with a focus on deployment pipelines and building tools to safely and securely deploy all services within the company. I introduced terraform and designed the workflow, spreading it to more than a thousand projects!
