Kimberly Lovie Murdaugh trained at Harvard and Yale. In engineering graduate school, she became an advocate for women’s health, designing and patenting a medical device to make gynecologic surgery safer. Her love for B&W cinema led her to radiology, where she implements new ultrasound techniques to explore overlooked aspects of women’s health. Through her research on clitoral ultrasound and estimated placental volume, Kim pushes boundaries to advance women’s reproductive health.
By extending these unconventional imaging techniques to filmmaking and screenwriting, Kim explores sacred human spaces and issues related to physician wellbeing. As a professional artist recognized by the International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP), she made her international photography debut in Seoul in 2021, and short film debut in LA in 2022.
