Key Marco Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners on June 30, 1992 by adoption of Collier County Ordinance No. 92-45 .
The Key Marco Community Development District Organization is similar to other local governments in Florida. Its five-member Board of Supervisors must be: at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of Florida and the District, and registered to vote with the Supervisor of Elections in Collier County in which district land is located and, are elected at a General Election by the landowner’s of Key Marco.
