Kenneth W. Cain is an author of horror and dark fiction, and a Splatterpunk Award nominated freelance editor and graphic designer. To date, he has had over one hundred short stories and thirteen novels/novellas, as well as a handful each of nonfiction pieces, books for children, and poems released by many publishers, such as Crystal Lake Publishing and JournalStone. As an Active member of the Horror Writers Association, he is chair for the membership committee, heads the Pennsylvania chapter, and was given the 2017 Silver Hammer Award for his service. Currently, Cain helps several publishers with their editing, formatting, book cover, and graphic design needs. Cain resides in Chester County, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.
At an early age Cain heard a reading of the Baba Yaga folklore and fell in love with dark fiction and horror. That love was nurtured during his formative years in the suburbs of Chicago, listening to his grandfather spin far-fetched tales beside the glow of a barrel fire. Shows like The Twilight Zone , The Outer Limits , Alfred Hitchcock Presents , and One Step Beyond furthered his wonder of the unknown, the unexplainable, and he’s been writing ever since.
