For 2018- Troop 208 went to the Baxter State Park- Home of Mt. Katahdin. It was another awesome trip! Scouts (and some returning former Scouts) hiked the park- including the Northern Terminus of the AT- Mt. Katahdin. After a long, strenuous climb- we were greeted with beautiful views and a sense of accomplishment. Kayaking, swimming, fishing and wildlife viewing rounded out the week. It is with a heavy heart, we announce the disbanding of Troop 208. After serious consideration, the leaders have decided that due to the falling numbers of boys wanting to join scouting, and the ever changing National and Council policies, to accomdate the most current politically correct trend, we can no longer keep the troop active and thriving. We appreciate the boys (now young men), families and friends, that have supported the Troops goals and scouts for almost 70 years. We will continue to cultivate t
