It has been my pleasure serving as your presiding judge of the 291st Judicial District Court. During my two terms in office, I have presided over 100 felony criminal jury trials, disposed of nearly 10,000 cases, steadfastly upholding the law and continually working to improve the efficiency of our justice system. Additionally, I have worked on multiple programs aimed at preventing crime, reducing recidivism and enriching our communities. We have come a long way since we decided to “Step Up for Justice” in 2
