I was born and raised in the Kootenays of British Columbia in a small ski town called Nelson. It’s a humble place with a colorful, down-to-earth community that values respecting the environment as you would a dear, good friend. These values were instilled in me at a young age as I grew up on a farm. My passion for the environment became my career as a Biologist, focusing on plant ecology, rehabilitation, and conservation.
As a kid, I was nicknamed “The Gazelle” as I raced cross country, played soccer, and danced many disciplines. I was always very physically active and innately competitive. In my 20’s, I became smitten with sport, trad, and alpine climbing. Often, I’d be off on an adventure climbing and spending long days in the Vahallas and the Bugaboos of BC. In the winter, my love for backcountry skiing blossoms, as it allows me to access big terrain and enjoy long days and big descents. I believe these sports serve me we
Running has always been my rock in life to keep me grounded. In 2022, my dark horse element was uncloaked with my breakout performance at Canyons 100k. Running has become more than a passion but my profession as a Trail Runner on The North Face Team. I aim to explore what’s possible for my mind and body in the natural elements. I endeavor to inspire others to explore the outdoors and their athletic boundaries and to be leaders in conserving wild spaces and climate change activism.
