Passionate about people and life, James A. Hula Jr., MD feels the medical field was his calling, as he has excelled in his nearly two-decade-long career. Today, he serves as a hospitalist physician at Southeast Georgia Health System-Brunswick Campus in the role of primary care provider for adults who are admitted to the hospital. In addition, Dr. Hula also serves as a clinical assistant professor through the Department of Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia/ Augu
At the start of his career endeavors, Dr. Hula notably served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army from 2002 to 2018, inspired to join the service following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2006, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in 2010.
