I am an Assistant Professor at the Computational Linguistics & Text Mining Lab (CLTL) , Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam . Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Computational Linguistics & Psycholinguistics Research Center (CLiPS) , University of Antwerp , Belgium, and at the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA) , Paris, France. I obtained my PhD (with honors) in Computer Science from IPN , Mexico, MSc in Language Sciences from the University of Algarve , Portuga
My research interests include natural language processing, computational linguistics, and text mining; specifically, hate speech detection, opinion mining, and authorship analysis-related tasks such as authorship attribution, author profiling, and native language identification.
