Hanze Dong is a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where he is being advised by Professor Tong Zhang . He previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Fudan University under the supervision of Professor Yanwei Fu .
His research interests encompass a broad range of topics, including statistical sampling, generative modeling, optimal transport, stochastic processes, randomized estimators, and their theories and applications in machine learning. His passion for these subjects drives him to continuously explore new frontiers in the field and advance our understanding of these complex systems.
