Blackjack is a card game that is played on a semicircular table that can accommodate different numbers of players. Normally, the table will be marked with seven spaces (or spots) for players to place their bets on. A dealer is then dealt two cards face up and the players then take action based on the numerical value of their cards.
The objective of the game is to beat the dealer by drawing a hand value that goes over 21 on your first two cards. In most cases this is done by hitting a Blackjack but the player can also win by beating the dealer’s hand without having a Blackjack. The dealer will usually pay out individual bets if they have Blackjack but not all dealers will do this so it is important to check the table rules before playing.
