As a fine art photographer, I value empathy, inclusion, connection, attunement, collaboration, and honesty. I find joy and inspiration in nature; beautiful liminal light; ritual; and in the dance of anticipating a key gesture or definitive moment. I am grateful for being invited into the intimacy of people between each other and with the built or natural environment. I am currently curating my first photo book for publication.
I have been a professional commercial photographer for 13 years including continuing wedding, portrait, and events photography on the Hawaiian Islands for the past 9 years.
I was a Knight Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I earned an M.A. degree in Multimedia Documentary Photojournalism and collaborated on projects that won many major industry awards. My undergraduate (B.A.) degree is in Studio Art: Architecture from Wesleyan University and included a year-long program in New York and Paris through the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Historic Preservation. I am certified in Graphic Design from Austin Comm
