Last weekend, HAC volunteers tabled at Evangelical Crusade Christian Church Community Resource Fair in Flatbush to share the programs and services that we provide year-round. Our goal is to connect families to resources and opportunities such as free English Language Learning classes, internet-enabled laptops for eligible students/families, and our workforce development program. We enrolled nearly two dozen people who are interested in taking their first step toward success.

For thousands of households across this city, three meals a day is not guaranteed. Families rely on local pantries to close the widening gap and put food on their table. As interfaith communities celebrate Holy Week, we partnered with St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church Community Outreach Committee and M & M Angels to distribute fresh produce; community credits; toys; COVID-19 resources such as home testing kits, face masks, and hand sanitizers.
