The Greater Kaweah GSA (Greater) was formed with the intent to comply with the 2014 Sustainable Groundwater Management Act
A top producer of fruit and fiber, agriculture in the Kaweah Subbasin depends on groundwater. The Greater Kaweah will be developing groundwater management strategies to maintain agriculture’s strength and viability.
The Greater Kaweah area contains small towns, rural communities, and rural landowners that depend on drinking water from the groundwater table. Strategies will be developed to maintain reliable, clean drinking water.
