Previously, I was a NASA Einstein Fellow at Yale University , a Fellow in the Directorate for Science at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) near Munich, and an Astronomer at ESO's Very Large Telescope in Chile. Prior to that, I was at the Rochester Institute of Technology , the Space Telescope Science Institute , the Johns Hopkins University , and the University of Rochester .
