A 24-year-old man was fatally wounded at a Fort Valley apartment complex late Monday afternoon, June 1, 2020 in an incident that may be gang-related. Fort Valley police officers responded to the 5:20 p.m. call, when shots were fired at Lakeview Apartments at 1105 Edward St., they found a resident wounded in the upper torso. Officers attempted to render medical aid and emergency medical service workers were summoned to respond to the scene.
The now deceased resident was taken to the Medical Center of Peach County, Navicent Health, where he died. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Juan Stewart, according to an updated Fort Valley Department of Public Safety news release posted on Facebook. There is no additional security footage or accounts from security guards to corroborate the details of the tragedy that occurred.
