The Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) provides Members with a stronger voice by working together as a united group. We focus on personal growth opportunities, advocacy and health and community wellness projects.
We are experts at compiling our local histories. Our Tweedsmuir Community History Books provide documentation at all levels of the Women’s Institute’s structure – Branch, District, Area and Province.
The FWIO Provincial Office is based in the home of our co-founder, Erland Lee. The Erland Lee (Museum) Home preserves our birthplace, honours those who have come before us, and is a National Historic Site of Canada.
