Fred served his country, was a tradesman and loved to fly.

Fred served in the US Army as a helicopter pilot during Vietnam. During his tour he earned a Purple Heart as well as a Bronze Star with valor. The spirit of the award will be to honor and recognize families that have sacrificed or support youth that are making the commitment to serve their country.
