Forager started during the 2008 financial crisis when a nearby winery broke a grape contract with a grower-friend - one week before harvest. Ouch! He was in a bind, so we agreed to buy his grapes, even though we had no idea what to do with the resultant wine. From this auspicious start, Forager wines speak to taking a chance through generosity, exploration and to “foraging” around the unique vineyards in coastal Sonoma and Oregon for delicious grapes or lots of wine that best reflect their sense of place.
