The town of Flambeau is located in beautiful northcentral Wisconsin just north of Phillips, south of Park Falls, and west of highway 13. The Town of Flambeau includes the unincorporated community of Lugerville which is located on County Highway F 8 miles northwest of Phillips. As of the 2000 census, the township has a population of 535 people, 207 households, and 146 families.
The Town of Flambeau is located Wisconsin's scenic Northwoods which has long been a popular outdoor recreation hotspot. The Flambeau township offers access to many outdoor activities including: ATV/trail riding, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, hiking, backpacking, camping, canoeing/kayaking, etc. The South Fork of the Flambeau River runs through the Town of Flambeau, and Lugerville offers a popular launch and access point in the Rocky Carrie landing.
