I am so honored to have four of my paintings transformed into a musical arrangement by the amazing Abby Kellems .
The performance is this Wednesday! Each movement Abby composed is inspired by specific paintings in my series Floaters and Focal Points. “The paintings (and the music) are about looking at the difficult realities of climate change and finding redemption.” – Abby Kellems Admission is free, and you can also livestream the concert navigating to the Chamber Hall video feed.
I’m very excited to be a participating artist in the Disappearing Birds of North America project. I was given the task to represent one of the 389 birds that are on the brink of extinction in North America, based on the National Audubon Society’s groundbreaking climate report, Survival by Degrees: 389 Bird Species on the Brink . Thanks for asking me to participate Jen Delos Reyes!
