I have received my B.Sc. degree from Ankara University, Department of Biology in 1996. In the same year I started my M.Sc. studies in Middle East Technical University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Biochemistry. Later, I completed my Ph.D. studies in Ankara University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Biology. During my Ph.D. studies I worked for The Open University, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom for 1 year. In 2009 I was appointed as Assistant
My research interests are High Hydrostatic Pressure and extraction of plant primer and secondary metabolites and their anti-infective properties. I have got several publications and many academic activities my research interests.
So far, I have taught several courses both at undergraduate and graduate level. In addition to my studies in biology, I had experience for a long time in several national and international projects about e-learning and distance education in biology as senior instructional designer and manager.
