Hello from the Church Bell Ringers at Ecclesfield, South Yorkshire. We created this web site because we wanted to tell you about Church Bell Ringing and about our team here at St Mary's who ring the 10 bells in our tower.
The bells at Ecclesfield are rung for Sunday morning service, weddings, special occasions and on Tuesday evening for practice.
Bells have rung out from this tower for over 400 years. Even though we have mobile phones and the Internet, Church bells are still the only way of conveying a message to the people of Ecclesfield all at the same time. That message is that St Mary's is open to everyone and we are here to help people love and worship God.
