For the most part we all long to know where we come from, and for as long as I can remember I have been digging in and around old cedar chests and photo albums asking just about a million questions to family members in search of the facts. I have loved the stories and legends as it has brought the dead to life and added such interest to my heritage.
I have titled this site Dust On My Boots because we all bring something of our ancestors with us. Their path has led to where our lives begin. They have made a deep impression on us and who they were is a part of what defines us today.
Therefore, I have created this site as a letter to my children and grand-children to convey what I have learned about our family history. Since I only possess part of the story I extend this welcome to all family members, children, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, and aunts and uncles too. Adding your memories and sharing updates on your ever-expanding families is what helps to keep us all connected.
