Sister company to Barrel 53 Cooperage , Woodsmen Distilling is a bourbon and whiskey distillery in Higbee, Missouri. We are a family-owned and operated cooperage and distilling duo with our stave cooperage and distillery all-in-one. Here at Woodsmen Distilling, we do everything in-house, where we grow, harvest, distill, and bottle on site, creating Mid-Missouri’s premier grain to barrel whiskey.
At Woodsmen Distilling, we believe in quality from grain to glass. That’s why we grow and harvest the majority of our own grain and age our bourbon and whiskey in Missouri White Oak barrels constructed at our family cooperage in Higbee, Missouri. We construct all of our bourbon and whiskey distilling Missouri White Oak barrels at our family cooperage in Higbee, Missouri. All of our barrels start out with Missouri White Oak staves, which are made from milling the logs into staves at the family stave mill. Once dried, we give them a gorgeous alligator char to seal in the wood’s natural flavor.
