I use muCommander on my Mac and Windows machines to manage local and remote files. I like that it's cross-platform so my brain doesn't need to switch gears when I switch machines. What I mainly like is that it has side-by-side panes that each display a view of a directory and you can easily copy or move files between these two directories.
