Updates Big Victory for Immigrants Rights » ACT celebrated a HUGE win for immigrants especially Africans applying for the Diversity Visa program. In February 2022, a court in DC overturned a Trump-era policy that required immigrants applying for the DV program to have a valid passport. ACT along with other Immigrant rights organizations protested this rule arguing that it would effectively bar applicants from developing countries where passport ownership is rare and expensive to get.
