According to Harvard, most innovations today happen in between the organizational silos. However, studies indicate that the ubiquitous silo barriers complicate horizontal communication and collaboration, thereby greatly reducing a firm’s capacity to innovate in the most impactful way.
We found that by exploring and aligning the organization’s greatest strengths (its positive core, i.e., the capabilities, skills, resources, and assets that are embodied in strategies, processes, systems, and so on) the functional and mental silos can be crossed effectively and organizations can be firmly reconnected.
