Having excelled in the educational sector for 25 years, Charles M. O’Connor, M.Ed. is now a retired teacher with a plethora of memories. He currently enjoys being the owner of Lake View Restaurant.
In the first six years of his career, he was a teacher at Andrews High School in High Point, North Carolina before becoming an assistant principal at Smith High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, which he also did for six years. For the following nine years, he excelled as assistant director of bus transportation for the Greensboro, North Carolina City School District. In his educational roles, Mr. O’Connor was the recipient of the Administrator of the Year Award from Smith High School in 1982 and 1985 and the Teacher of the Year Award from Andrews High School in 1979. In 2020, he was granted the Order of the Arrow and the National Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America, of which he continues to remain active.
